Increase Your Income by Promoting Your Products on a Blog

Using a blog as a mean to promote your products is one of the best ways to increase your sales.  Why? Simply because blogs get a lot of targeted visitors that are very interested in reading what you have to say without being forced to buy any products.  Now what does that actually mean?  It means that your potential customers won’t land on your sales page but rather read some of the interesting material which would be beneficial to them before they are offered any kind of products. That would build a trust with your visitors and made them compelled to stick around.

Offer Free Advice and Tips

You should offer helpful and free advice on various issues related to the solution you are selling (in the way of product).  You should also write honest and quality product reviews with links to the buy page.  That way, visitors of your blog would have a choice to read the reviews without being forced to buy anything and can simply choose to click on the link if they want to make an additional step.

Take Care of Your Customers

Customer Service Think Tank

As your visitors get to know what your blog is about and as they see that they can get a free solution to their problem, they are more likely to trust your product and buy it to get even better solution.

You ought to take care of your potential customers by offering them a chance to subscribe to your blog and get weekly or monthly free tips straight into their e-mailbox. Moreover, you can increase sales with that customer list by promoting your products within your weekly or monthly newsletters.

Employ Additional Monetization Techniques

You can increase your income by monetizing your blog with additional methods such as pay per click advertising or by promoting related products as an affiliate and make money on every sale that you refer. Your best method to maximize the income potential is to promote products related to your niche but not too much related as this may drive your visitors to buy your competitor’s product instead of yours. You would still make money though, but a bit less and also also risk losing some of your costumers for good.

Extend Your Customer Reach

Some professionals advise to extend the reach of potential customers by extending the topics you write about with similar closely related topics.  This will not only attract fresh new customers but also encourage your current customers to read your blog more often as it gives them new interesting articles to read about.

This has been proven in practice to work very effectively, but make sure you don’t steer too much away from your topic and start to talk about cat food when you are selling dog collars. Talking about dogs in general or dog training would be very good though.
